Mutuals Chrome Extension

SUMMARY
Mutuals processes all data locally in your browser. There is no server. No
personal data is ever sent to external servers, third parties, or the
developer. The extension is read-only and never acts on your account.

DATA ACCESSED
When you start an analysis on your own profile, the extension reads your
follower list, your following list, your own posts, and the accounts that
liked or commented on them. It reads this using the session you are already
signed in with, and only for the account you are signed in as. It will not
run on anyone else's profile.

DATA STORED LOCALLY
Stored in Chrome's local extension storage, on your device only:

- Follower and following lists: numeric account ID, username, display name,
  and profile picture URL for each account
- Per-post engagement data (which accounts liked or commented)
- Scan history: counts and timestamps of past analyses
- Saved results per account, if you analyse more than one account
- Your whitelist and display preferences

Please note that your follower and following lists contain information about
other people. This data is stored unencrypted and is readable by anyone with
access to your computer and your browser profile. Treat it accordingly.

DATA NOT COLLECTED
The extension does not collect passwords, authentication credentials, email
addresses, payment information, location data, browsing history, or any data
from websites other than instagram.com. There is no analytics, telemetry,
crash reporting, or usage tracking of any kind.

WHAT THE EXTENSION WILL NOT DO
Mutuals is read-only. It cannot follow, unfollow, like, comment, block, post
or message. It has no scheduler and performs no background collection. It
runs only when you explicitly start an analysis.

DATA SHARING
No data is shared with, sold to, or transmitted to any third party, server,
or external service. All processing happens entirely within your browser.
The extension communicates only with instagram.com; this is enforced by its
manifest, so your browser blocks requests to any other host.

FILES YOU EXPORT
CSV and PDF exports are generated in your browser and saved directly to your
computer. They are never uploaded. Exported files contain other people's
usernames and display names, and they remain on your computer after the
extension is removed.

DATA DELETION
You can delete all stored data at any time by removing the extension from
Chrome (chrome://extensions -> Remove), which clears everything the extension
has stored. You can also clear its storage without uninstalling, from the
same page. Files you have already exported are not affected and must be
deleted separately.

PERMISSIONS
The extension requests only what it needs to function:

- storage - save your results on your device
- activeTab - determine whether the current tab is your own profile
- access to instagram.com - read your account data

CHILDREN
Mutuals is not directed at children under 13.

CHANGES
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "Last updated" date
above and in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
